✨ Business Visit Spotlight ✨

This week, Spoon River CEO students experienced their first two-day Business Visit Cook Medical in Canton, IL!

On Wednesday, students toured the Cook Medical North Building, followed by a visit to Cook Polymer Technology on Thursday. Throughout the experience, students learned about the history of Cook Medical and how the company came to be established in Canton, while also discovering the many ways Cook has invested back into our local community.

Students received an informational presentation, saw demonstrations of how medical devices manufactured right here in Canton are used on patients, and even had the chance for hands-on learning, with one of our students stepping up to try the process himself!

This is truly a lucky and grateful group of students, as they were among the first high school students to receive such a detailed, behind-the-scenes look at Cook Medical’s facilities, innovation, and operations through their partnership with Spoon River CEO.

We are incredibly thankful to Cook Medical and their employees for opening their doors, taking the time to invest in the next generation, and giving back to our community in such a meaningful way. Opportunities like this are what make Spoon River CEO and its community so special!
